Poetry - "Final Fight"

I fight a bitter enemy
We battle every day
I cannot get away from him
What e’re I do or say
He seems to know my weaknesses
My strengths he does foresee
I cannot find a strategy
That will bring victory
We battle long, we battle hard
We battle all day long
There is no sound of battle cry;
There is no sound of song
A futile fight, and worthless
No point there seems to be....
The problem is, I realise:
This enemy… is me.
