The Nanny Diaries
Scarlett Johansson plays a nanny who finds that working for the spoilt rich just isn't much fun... Also starring Chris Evans, Laura Linney, Alica Keys and Paul Giamatti. An entertaining comedy drama with a few memorable scenes. I haven't read the book but it doesn't seem to have many fans among those who have.

In Good Company
In this one Scarlett Johansson plays the daughter of a Salesman (Dennis Quaid) who is gettin past his prime but still has enough left in him to show new young boss (Topher Grace) a thing or two. a thing or two. A nice little film that packs a powerful punch, landing squaley in the face of corporate culture.

The Island
Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor live in an establishment with the eternal hope of going to "The Island". When latent memories start to stir for McGregor, he and Johansson set out on a quest to find out what's really going on. Also starring Steve Buscemi and Sean Bean. It came across to me like a cross between Logan's Run and The Matrix... (and a sci-fi short story I wrote once!)

Lost In Translation
A well received film starring Bill Murray as a troubled businessman with a rocky marriage and Scarlett Johansson as a bored wife, both on holiday in Japan, this won critical acclaim but I'm afraid that I just found it painfully boring! When the most significant thing that happens in a movie is the star changing her underwear, you're in trouble plot-wise...
